The central question for you as you visit Templestowe College is……… “Why should I choose this school?” At Templestowe College we work to maximize your child’s abilities so they have the opportunity to realise their full potential. We are a values driven community that is committed to the belief that every child can learn and progress. Underlying this belief are four core College values on which all our actions are based:

Students are block timetabled in Maths, Humanities, Art, Advance, Technology and LOTE to enable team teacher and to better cater for mixed abilities. The focus is on maintaining and improving academic and practical skills, whilst engaging students in their learning through additional activity throughout the curriculum.
These programs are available in a range of areas. Accelerated Maths program starts in Year 9 and 10. Currently students in Year 10 have the option of General Mathematics and Business Management as their VCE acceleration options.
Students are able to achieve very high VCE results. We have a 100% pass rate. Our students choose a variety of pathways following VCE, including University, TAFE, GAP year and employment. This is undertaken in consultation with our careers adviser. We are willing to challenge our students in so many different ways, so that they develop into strong, well rounded individuals who have a sense of compassion and the ability to contribute to a better world. We also want our teenagers to develop character as leaders and citizens by taking on roles that create positive change.
The College operates a dynamic House System that offers students a wide range of activities beyond those found in the classroom.
The College has a highly developed Leadership Program that provide students with a wide variety of opportunities to develop and enhance their skills at leading others to success.
This unique and life changing experience involves our students working with a rehabilitation centre in Phong Phen, Cambodia, for land mine victims and polio sufferers. It is a joint project with the International School of Phong Phen. Our view at Templestowe College is that every activity, whether it is within the confines of the formal classroom, in the school yard or sporting field, or beyond the school gate is an opportunity for our students to learn grown and develop into strong, powerful global citizens. Why should you choose Templestowe College for your child’s future? You should choose Templestowe College because we focus on knowing the students:
Our students thrive because our teachers “know” them, have high expectations of them, believe in them and support them in managing their skills and their knowledge. Templestowe College is a school where skills and knowledge, care and compassion, discipline and good values are effectively transmitted from our teachers to the young adults in their care in a positive and highly stimulating environment.
